WVU Basketball will be getting a nice addition next season with Keaton Miles deciding to come to Morgantown to continue his excellent career. Miles has been dominating recently for his high school squad. In his last 3 games he is averaging 21 points and 17 rebounds, I would gladly take half of that on the Mounties right now if he wants to come early. He will remind alot of you of Ebanks and with hard work and dedication I see no reason he can’t be even better for WVU. We got a chance to shoot some questions at Keaton and he had no problem opening up for the Couch Fire Sports Nation …
Couch Fire Sports: So how was your game last night?.
Keaton Miles: It went well the refs beat me up lol I had 15pts and 20reb…and we won by 5 or so.
CFS: What made you choose WVU over your other offers?
KM: I came into the process really with an open mind and I watched a lot of WVU basketball last season and my AAU coach use to say you can take Ebanks spot because we play alike but he thought I would be the better player in the future…and I really enjoyed The Big East being A Basketball Conf. and Coach Huggins history with Dallas Players he also recruited my Uncle .
CFS: Do you realize how swole Huggins will have you looking after just one season? Do you life weights now?.
KM: Yea I lift everyday I have gained about 20 pounds since summer and plan to be 205 when I come to WVU for the summer…Huggins said that 215 will be my playing weight so I’m trying to come in and work to contribute asap.
CFS: That is great, there is definitely room for you early on if you put in the work … Break down the type of player you are for WVU fans who have not seen you play?.
KM: I’m a Very versatile SF that can play any position on the court and can guard any position on the court that will give you 100% every game.
CFS: How did you like that Super Bowl snow? It stays chilly here in Morgantown, but we do have alot of cute girls to keep you warm..
KM: lmao it was cool but I heard you guys get a bunch of snow, but that’s not really the focus but I always carry a extra snow coat just in case!
CFS: Top 5 players of all time?.
KM: Michel Jordan, Kobe Bryant, Hakeem Olajuwon, Shaq and Magic.
CFS: If we play OK St. in the National Championship what will LeBryan Nash’s final stat line be? (Nash is a top 10 recruit in the country and is on Keatons High School team and committed to Oklahoma State)
KM: lol I have no idea lol as long as we win but I would give him buckets lol….we love to go at each other heads just to make each other better he hasn’t beat me in a game of 1 on 1 since sophomore yr…but I love that guy no homo.
CFS: Do you know what your wingspan is?
KM: No I have no idea lol the last time they checked everyone was blown away but to give you a number..I can’t remember.
CFS: How old were you when you first dunked?.
KM: About 13 or 14.
