Another 3 star recruit the Mountaineers have targeted is Darron Lee. Darron is from New Albany, Ohio and is 6’3″ 205lbs. Darron is also one hell of a athlete playing everywhere a coach at his high school can find a position for him. Most likely will be a safety on the next level but don’t be surprised if he parlays it into more than that. He has been clocked with a 4.61 40 yard dash, max bench of 195lbs, max squat of 355lbs, 4.5 shuttle time, and a nasty 35 inch vertical which you can see displayed in the second video below. Lee has 12 offers so far and a lot of them are right around Ohio or in it, so the competition for Darron will be tough. Mountaineer legend Owen Schmitt has signed a one-year deal with the Oakland Raiders after getting a tryout with the NFL team. Schmitt played all 16 games last season in Philly for the Eagles and had a solid season, which earned him a tryout to continue his NFL career. What a long strange trip it has been for this Mountaineer originally from Gilman, Wisconsin. Should be a pretty good gig to block for Darren McFadden in Oakland. They’ve got a good team returning and could make some noise this season and some Runaway Beer Truck highlights, hopefully.

The WVU staff has recently offered a 3 star outside linebacker from Cincinnati Ohio named Rasheen Jones. Rasheen is a 6’3″ 220lbs outside lineback with size, strength, speed, and athletic ability coaches die for. Kind of under the radar at this point with only 6 offers he would be a good fit in the Mountaineer defense. With the right coaching and motivation the sky is the limit for this young man and you can see that from the highlights. Coaches see the potential hopefully he sees the same potential and is willing to put the work in to get the most out of himself. WVU Baseball finishes out Big East play this weekend against USF. This was not a good season for baseball and while they keep saying we have a chance to get into the Big East Tournament the truth of it is we don’t. But for those in Morgantown it is still a good weekend to go out and catch a game. It’s our final run for Big East sports and the weather is going to be nice. We play at 7 tonight and tomorrow. Tomorrow is dollar day and Saturday at 1:05 is Senior Day. 0 percent chance of rain every day. Tomorrow you can get in and get dinner for cheap. Saturday you can get a tan and close out the Mountaineers run in the Big East and move on to bigger and better things in the Big 12.

Nate Montana, the oldest son of perhaps the greatest QB of all time in the NFL, initially started his career in college football as a walk-on at Notre Dame, where his dad excelled on his way to a stellar NFL career.

Nate transferred from Pasadena City College in 2009, before transferring back to Notre Dame in 2010 (where he was also one of eight Notre Dame football players and 11 total athletes arrested for alleged underage drinking in July 2010. On June 3, 2011, Nate was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.)

He then bounced outta South Bend to go play for the Montana Grizzlies last season.

Needless to say, the Bobcats are in need of a quarterback after losing star Adam Neugebauer to graduation. Two different quarterbacks took snaps during spring drills and the annual Spring Game.

It will be Montana’s fourth school in five years.

Lamar Robbins (6-3, 175) is a guy out of Southridge HS in Miami who was recently jacked up when he was offered a scholarship by the ‘Eers.  Once again, with Robbins you can see the concerted effort our guys are putting into the state of Florida to bring the best athletes into Morgantown.

He’s got offers from all over the country… Big 10 schools, SEC and obviously the Big 12 with the Mountie offer.

He’s currently rated a three to four-star recruit by most of the major recruiting services and is in the Top 30 overall in Florida, while Rivals.com has him as the 26th overall DB in this class.

Close to being finalized: 2014 College Football Season Opener : West Virginia vs Alabama , in the Georgia Dome in Atlanta.

Crimson Tide fans began indicating what has been rumored for a while now when at the Crimson Caravan, West Virginia native and super-coach Nick Saban began discussing the game.

It will be a superb matchup and a great game to showcase WVU’s talent against arguably the best program in the nation right now.  As long as we can hang with them, I’m down with the challenge… but I cringe at thought of not having Geno and relying on the next star QB.  I suppose the uncertainty of the state of our team in a few years is unsettling.

Should be a fun one.

What a horrible night it was last night, my Lakers lost again. Not only lost, but choked like it was their first playoff series ever. I am pretty much speechless right now, I know it is hard to believe, but I am … just going to sit here and stare at this Asian chick who is smokin hot. Maybe I will blog some more after I have my morning Mt. Dew. Until then Number 3 is going to toss some knowledge at you cubical clowns and I do not want to hear one person talk about how they are a Oklahoma City fan, stupid ass team didn’t even exist a few years ago.
